The rooms were clean and equipped with everything we needed, plus parking right outside made it convenient. While the bed was decent, the shower was really good. Just a short drive to the city center and nearby attractions like Redhead Beach made family outings easy and enjoyable. We appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and the helpful staff, especially Jenny. The pub's affordable meals were a bonus, creating a good experience overall. If you're looking for budget-friendly comfort on the road, this is definitely a place to consider!

I was really impressed with the value for money; the room was super comfortable and felt even better than a three-star place. The location was perfect, close to everything I needed, and the staff treated me like family-very friendly and accommodating!
The breakfast could use more variety to make it better.

Nice hotel, incredible base for 1 night in Mount Hutton. A lot of amazing food for meals. Easy check-in, parking onsite. The check out is late...
A bit cramped bathroom.

Had an awesome stay on a Saturday night, glad I've chosen it. There were coffee/tea making machines and a fridge in the great and warm room. The location was marvellous and excellent, very close to a great pub, bottle shop attached and close to the city, both Hunter Valley and Newcastle and shops and restaurants.

I noticed a minor issue with the Wi-Fi connection, which was slightly inconsistent during peak hours.

I had a pleasant stay at the tavern and motel. The location was perfect, tucked away from the busyness of the street and surprisingly quiet. I checked in late, around 1:30 am, and the staff made it a breeze. My room was tidy, equipped with modern amenities like a flat-screen TV and reliable wifi. The shower was amazing, and the peaceful atmosphere made for a restful night.
Not one thing! 😊.

During my recent business trip, my director selected the Gateshead Tavern & Motel in Mount Hutton, and I'm thankful for that choice. The room was impeccably clean and tidy, with the added convenience of parking right outside my door. The modern TV allowed me to hook up my laptop easily, and the free WiFi was robust enough for my needs. The shower was fantastic—definitely more powerful than what I have at home! The mini-fridge kept my drinks nicely chilled, making my stay even more comfortable. Considering the affordable rates, I found this place to be a amazing option, particularly when compared to other motels I've stayed at around the lake.
Couldn’t find a single fault.

I really liked how affordable the place was, plus the shower and fridge were great for my needs. It was awesome that they had live entertainment to kick back and enjoy after a long day. Just a slight hiccup: I had hoped for a room at the end since I had my dog, but that didn't go as planned, yet it didn't put a damper on my stay! 😊.

The location here is really convenient, right in the center of everything. We enjoyed lunch at a nearby spot called Jimbo's Quality Seafood, where we sampled some of their fast food options. 🍽️.
